What to Expect After the Baby is Born

Expectant parents will receive practical information on caring for their newborn. We will discuss basic baby care, infant sleeping patterns, and ways to play with your baby. Information will also be provided regarding infant temperament styles and behavior states, as well as understanding how a newborn communicates. We will also discuss what every parent should know about baby blues and post partum depression: factors that increase the risk of postpartum depression and ways to identify whether a mother may be at risk for postpartum depression. Taught by: Tracee Golet, Alliance for Healthy Families; Christine Beaudette, Safe Schools/Healthy Students
